Reasons of Paper Roll Horn-type or Star Shaped

1. The bottom of the paper roll is loose when changing the roll.
2. One side of the paper is thin and the roll runs towards the loose end. If the both sides of the press part is not uniform, when the blanket dirty, it is easy to cause paper roll play.
3. A large number of paper ends are wrapped around the roll when changing the paper roll.
4. The roll is bent.

When the paper is found to be twitching under a normal condition of roll paper, the sheet can be wrapped around the loose end of the paper roll. Because the inside tight and outside loose of the roll, the paper wrapped inside is pulled out, which form a star-shaped. The star-shaped paper will appear transverse wrinkles in the roll. In addition to the poor control of the roll paper force, another factor is the change in the thickness of the sheet. When the tension is adjusted, the thickness of paper is changed from thin to thick as if it is just at the edge of the paper. So, the star shape is likely to occur. Operators can properly reduce the sheet tension in front of the reel to control the star development when they find signs of star.
