Factors influencing the Pulping Effect of Double Disc Refiner
The Factors affect the Pulping Effect of Double Disc Refiner
- Wood Species, Fiber Morphology, Chemical Composition. The results of the research show that the high strength disc refining mechanical pulp can produce by the use of wood with low density, fast growth, high autumn material content and low extract content.
- Defibrination Density. It is an important factor affecting the grinding effect, which generally controlled in the range of 20% ~ 30%. The first section is about 25% and the second section is about 20%.
- Preheat Temperature (Pressure) and Time. When the preheating temperature is too high, lignin is fully softened and fiber separation occurs between the intercellular layer and secondary wall. The surface of the fiber is covered with lignin after the separation. The slurry cooled after the first refining section, and the original softened lignin hardened into a glass shell, which became a barrier to the second refining section. It is difficult to refine fibers and the power consumption is high, the whiteness of slurry is low.If the preheating temperature is too low, the lignin does not soften in time. The fibers are irregularly separated, which produce more fragments. The legth of fiber will decrease and the intensity of pulp drop off.
