Long, Medium & Short Fibers Screen and Use
We have discussed the pulping process, coarse screen process & fractionating screen. This time we mainly focus on how to separate long, medium and short fibers, and what their respective use.
The fibers are recoiled by high pressure flushing water to the upper vortex for recycling. Heavy impurities are discharged out of system regular by pneumatic valve controlled by PLC. The accepts after first stage Low Density Cleaner will go to the second stage Fractionating Screen. The medium and long fibers are separated. Medium fibers pass through screen slot and the 2nd stage & 3rd stage Low Density Cleaner removing treatment. Then they enter medium fibers pulp chest through Thickner for thickening. At last they go into medium fiber pulp tower.
It is no need to use second stage and third stage Low Density Cleaner for treatment, if the finished paper type is corrugated paper.
The tailings after through second stage and third stage Low Density Cleaner go into long fiber pulp chest. After fractionating for two times, long fibers contain a lot of light impurities. Therefore, the long fibers return to the entrance of supplying pump of long fiber fine screen, the accepts of which go to the Thickener for thickening. Finally, it will be transferred to long fiber pulp tower for storage. Tailings go to the pulp chest of coarse screening system for treatment.
The use of long fiber pulp is as bottom layer of paper; The use of medium fiber pulp is as top layer; The use of short fiber pulp is as liner layer of paper.
